Me Time
“ME TIME” has become the buzz word of the 21st Century…
But is it really that important??
Does it possess the value that so many individuals attach to it??
Is it a “Time Waster” or a “Life Rejuvenator”?
Is it not a “Self Indulgent” concept, that many women have now turned into a Religion?
Well, with so much attached to this concept of “ME TIME” and all the attention that’s given to it… There’s got to be something deeper to it… Right!!!
Well definitely it’s everything you ever expected it to be and more.
“ME TIME” is the space you create within yourself to rejuvenate, recharge, and most importantly where you get to indulge in quality time with YOURSELF.
Those delicious moments, act as an energizer, mood enhancer and regulator.
It uplifts the spirit and nourishes the soul.
Your awareness levels are heightened, and it’s the most beautiful way to build an immaculate relationship with yourself. Its your alone time where you get to have fun doing what you love doing!
The time we spend alone, enjoying every moment of it, allows our body to release the hormone called “OXCYTOCIN”, and this very amazing hormone is known for its ability to lower stress levels in women.
Without the daily infusion of stress, we can then begin to live a Lifestyle of Gratification, and pleasure is the secret ingredient. Unfortunately we as women were taught to run away from it, because we always have to put others needs and happiness before our own. I’m giving you the permission to go and find your “SWEET SPOT! Its time to start filling your own cups, and allow the contents to flow over, so that you then serve others form the saucer and not the cup itself…
Your happiness is extremely important to the man in your life as well as others around you. People count on your joy. It is so easy to live a miserable life… But to live a pleasurable harmonious life, takes courage in these stressful times.
So it’s time for you to look at me time through the paradigm of it being an excellent “PLEASURE ELIXIR”!
Nourish yourself with pleasure and joy, by taking in a beautiful sunset, a soothing massage, some form of meditation or anything else that’s pleasure, and not work… Allow yourself as a woman to indulge in “Guilt Free” free time, not “Guilty” free time because you are worth it! And when your man says he needs “Alone Time”, you will be able to willing extend the same kind of courtesy to him as well without feeling insecure because he needs “Chill Time” too. Its called “Man Time”. He doesn’t want to give you the ‘wrung out’ version of himself… Hence his need to decompress and unwind after a long day of work and stress. His day can sometimes become a carousel of stress, demands, scary bosses, complex colleagues and more. And so, when he gets home, he needs and wants to be able to handle all that stress in some way, shape or form. Only difference is he handles it differently to you!
You want to talk about it… He needs, NOT to talk about it. We as women unwind by talking about our problems, and women actually tend to think their best when ‘free talking’.
A man’s health survey of 2500 men revealed, that less than 10% of all men want to talk as soon as they come home from work, which means, that 90% would rather do just about anything else.
So give your man his “chill out” time, because that’s what re-energizes his spirit enough, to come out of the ‘man cave’ and want to talk to you again…
DR JOHN GRAY author of Men are from mars Women are from venus, calls it; ” Replenishing Testosterone Time”!
Me time + Man time= extra ordinary quality We time….
