Autumn Makeup Trends by MiaInc.
Hate following beauty rules? Good news! March brings forth beautiful hues of autumn. This season’s makeup is all about doing things your own way.
Each and every woman should celebrate their uniqueness. Dressing your face in a way that suits you and flatters your physical features. “During autumn there’s a lot of freedom in how you use makeup. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your colour palettes,” says Zayboonisha.
“In general, velvety, silky-smooth skin is in, not too matte or powdered, but not dewy either. Contrasts of edgy and punk versus soft and romantic are the order of the day or night,” comments Faheema.
THE FOUR KEY TRENDS:
1. Beautiful and Damned
The toughest attitudes and a bit of punky-DIY meet refined, extreme elegance. Black is your one constant-get creative with smudged kohl, heavy carbon shadow or even black lips if you dare. But balance your unique elements with chic, luminous and polished skin.
2. Strength of Beauty
All about fresh-looking skin and defining the face with makeup. Strengthening features with subtle colour placement, be it an ever so slight contour, pink blush or bronzer and playing up strong, natural looking brows.
3. Love Worn
Re-inventing the smoky eye. Partied-in, lived-in, worn-in makeup means sultry, blended eyeshadow in ashy stone-greys and browns, rubbed off liner and creased kohl. It’s the girl who’s done her makeup in the morning and left it untouched-at the end of the day it actually looks better.
4. Red 70’s
With the 70’s trend heavily influencing fashion it’s only natural the beauty look was complimentary too. Red lips are re-worked with a deep, brick-tinged red but worn with simple almost bare skin and just the lightest touch of 70’s shades like ochre, rust and caramel on the eyes to keep it modern.
“Fall has always been my favourite season. The time when everything bursts with it’s last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” MiaInc 011 852 2448
